"Motivation gets you started, but discipline keeps you going when the excitement fades."- The Insight Journal
Discipline and motivation are two powers that we need for success. Both are equally important, but both DON’T share the same meaning. Here is the difference:
Motivation: The way your goals start!
Why do we ever get started on something new, something adventurous? Why is it that we have so many aims, goals, wishes? Because we are inspired to do so! We get motivated to do so!
The one importance about motivation is that it helps you find your way. It is the reason you ever want to do something you've never done before. If Person A is miserable and he sees Person B living his life to the fullest, he would want to do it do! He would be inspired to, he would be motivated to.
Setbacks are something everyone faces on their journey towards their destiny. But what matters the most is how you handle it. Those who handle it efficiently, continue effectively, those who don't - get stuck - And no one likes getting stuck.
The first that pops into your head when you hear backup plan is a series of actions you will take if things don't go as planned - But that's not quite right...
Remember the day you forgot you had a chemistry test in 10 minutes? What did you do? Take in as much as you can into your head, of course! You took the source - textbook, notes, whatever it may be - and took the best advantage of it. That is exactly backup.
The ability to use your brain so efficiently that nothing can beat it. That's why we saw those friends at school who study nothing but still get a 97 upon 100 in tests. It was their ability , their skill. A tool you can carry everywhere, at all times.
Motivated means moving in action. It is a force, a push! A push that tells you that you have to start working on your goals today, right now! It will give you direction, it will give you focus! It will help you develop self-confidence and even give you a boost in life. Motivation is a kind of definition for:
"Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can." - Arthur Ashe
It gives you a chance to trust yourself, it gives you a chance to go ahead in life. And the best part is that this chance comes more than just once.
Discipline
“Discipline is the difference between wanting and achieving.”
What is Discipline?
Discipline is doing what needs to be done, even when you don’t feel like it. It’s the power that keeps us going when the excitement fades. Discipline helps you remove distractions, push through pain, and become successful.
Discipline is a habit, not a one-time thing. Discipline is more powerful than motivation. Motivation helps us get started, but discipline keeps us going. It builds self-control. It will bring us long-term success,s and it starts with small choices.
Discipline does many things to us. Some of them are:
Builds strong habits
Increases focus
Boosts confidence
Turns goals into achievements
Create freedom
Make you stand out
Strengthen mental toughness.
Conclusion
Both motivation and discipline are very POWERFUL. Motivation gets you excited and started to what you are going to do, and discipline helps to stay focused and keep going when the excitement fades. Both play a major role in achieving success. Both will help us in many things which be useful in our life for many things. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
